Accra Technical University Spreads Love On Val’s Day

It was all joy and love in the air as the staff of the Accra Technical University converged at the University's Guest House to mark this year's Valentine's Day celebration with a special buffet party.
From handshakes to affectionate hugs, the ATU guest house was sparkled with smiles and expressions of love from Senior Members and other staff members of the University.
Not only was there plenty to eat and merry about – from food to drinks as well as music to set the joyful mood – it was also an opportune time to sensitise staff and decision makers of the University on the pandemic emergence of the deadly Coronavirus which has claimed over thousand lives and continues to rear its ugly head as a global challenge.
Though Ghana has not recorded a case of the disease, it is imperative to arm ourselves with information about it and keep watch to combat it should it occur in our country.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Samuel Nii Odai, used the opportunity to send his special Val’s day message to the staff of the University and to thank them for their hard work. ‘‘Thank you for your hard work for ATU,’’ he said.
He urged everyone to let love lead in all their endeavours and used the moment to mend broken relationships in areas where there have been disagreements in the course of carrying out their duties.
Special recognition was given to long-serving staff of the University to appreciate their diligence and commitment in carrying out the mandate of the University and to motivate them to double their efforts in that regard.
The University takes delight in this joyous moment to spread its love to all stakeholders and partners who have been part of the University's success, and continue to contribute their quota in making ATU the leading Technical University in the country.
